In fact, SAF is now a leading company in France for the mating disruption pheromone business. 15% of total apple trees acreage were treated by our product in 2002. Some additional sales is expected in 2003 due to the extension of registration waited on walnuts.SAF is also working to introduce new ecologically friendly products on other fruits and vines. In former Eastern European countries, Summit Agro Europe Group has introduced the SCM system to realise a fast and secured production / delivery system in this difficult area. In the field of environmental health products, we have reinforced our organisation and 2 specialists of this field (technical and commercial) have joined our European organisation With the organisation, we are now expanding our activity to areas surrounding Europe, such as CIS / Middle East / Africa.  We have been very aggressively establishing distribution networks in Europe. The key words for us are to become more and more customer oriented and go deep into the distribution of the products As a result, we succeeded in covering all European countries utilising the network of Sumitomo Corporation Group companies / branch offices and Summit Agro Europe network, consisting of seven distribution businesses, namely: Sumi Agro (UK) Limited, Summit Agro Hungary Kft., Sumi Agro Poland Sp.Zo.o, Sumi Agro France S.A.S., Summit Agro Romania s.r.l., Summit Agro Bulgaria EOOD, Summit-Agro Ukraine and Sumi Agro Czech s.r.o.. Furthermore, Sumi Agro France S.A.S. opened a branch office in Spain. Agrochemicals We offer a wide variety of services on a global scale based on a wealth of product knowledge ranging from agricultural chemicals and foliar fertilisers to greening agents not only from Japan, but also from the USA and Europe. And along with these items, we are supplying ''services'', supporting a more integrated agriculture. In Summit Agro Europe Group companies, based on our long term commitment in each market, we are preparing spray calendars to serve to our clients, which is being very much appreciated. Environmental health products In co-ordination with the technical team on the manufacturing side, we are offering technical recommendations for the production of aerosols, mosquito coils, mosquito mats and other related items.
