Based on this close relationship Sumitomo Corporation Europe plc have been appointed the exclusive distributor of Ricegrowers Co-operative Japonica rice varieties in Europe. We are currently building our sales channels and are working with well-known Japanese food distributors and restaurants in the UK and Europe. We are keen to develop this business and would consider either working directly or through our existing sales channels with new customers. The rice can be supplied in retail or catering sized packs. We are also working closely with TAT Konserve the biggest producer of tomato products in Turkey, we are currently supplying diced and paste tomato to ready meals manufacturers and are keen to develop further sales channels in the UK for bulk and retail products.  In 1963 we launched the Summit Supermarket chain. We now run 89 stores in the Tokyo metropolitan area. We have also built business relationships with both Seiyu Ltd - one of the biggest Japanese supermarket chains and Mammy Mart - which has 47 stores in Saitama on the outskirts of Tokyo. We supply these stores with a wide range of European products - including alcoholic drinks, dairy products, fish and meat.  Our London Foodstuffs department handles a range of items including Sugar, Coffee, Milk Powders, Malted Barley, Frozen Fish ,Wine, Whisky, paste and diced tomato and specialises in Japanese style food products sourced from our extensive contacts around the world. |
